The behind the scenes of Wolt is run by an awesome bunch of over 700+ planners, builders, designers and data crunchers. We call ourselves Product+, as we’re the very core of Wolt’s products, tools and platforms. To build our products, we work in over 60 cross-functional, independent and autonomous teams. Teams are made up of a mix of talented individuals: engineers, designers, data scientists, analysts, and product leads. Each team takes ownership for solving customer problems in the best possible way.​​How we work and what makes our engineering organization interesting:

• We build highly autonomous engineering teams, with teams carrying a lot of ownership – setting technological choices, creating roadmap and deciding on ways of working/collaboration
• Our Engineers are product-oriented and work very closely with Product Leads, taking an active part in product conversations/roadmapping
• Our Engineers are also fully involved in the whole development life cycle, from product conversations, implementation, testing and deployment, including active part in architectural decision making
• We are a data-driven team, focused on building scalable and high-impact promotional features that drive real business value.
• Our team is highly diverse, with talent from around the world, fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture.
• We primarily work remotely, but we’d love to see you in our Helsinki office once a week for our team day.

Our humble expectations:

• At least 3 years developing Android applications, not exceeding 6 years
• Testing ownership mindset (i.e. owning the whole cycle of development – not just developing features, but actually making sure they’re defect free, shipping them into customers’ hands)
• Production app monitoring and troubleshooting experience
• The person that we hire for this will be the only Android engineer in the team, so even though we’re looking for an I4 role, they should be quite capable and self-sufficient in driving the impact not only from tech but from work management perspective as well (e.g. slicing stories into technical tasks etc)
• Desire to build beautiful animations (with the help of our Motion Designer)
• Clear communication style
• Experience working in multi-team development environment
• Big plus – being able to carry projects by themselves with minimum interventions from TL & PL – e.g. talk to a designer to gather missing requirements, create epic(s)/tickets etc
• Android, Kotlin & Coroutines, Compose, Koin, MVI, Modularization, Maestro
