Dunsfold Fire Station is looking for committed individuals to join us as On-Call Firefighters. This is your chance to make a real difference while maintaining your current job or other commitments.As an On-Call Firefighter, you’ll work alongside a team of highly trained professionals, ready to respond to emergencies and deliver essential support in the Dunsfold area.Your Role as an On-Call Firefighter
- Promote community safety: Visit schools, youth clubs, and community groups to deliver fire safety advice and education.
- Respond to emergencies: Attend fires, road traffic collisions, floods, and incidents involving hazardous materials, ensuring public safety in times of crisis.
- Contribute to operational readiness: Perform fire hydrant inspections, equipment maintenance, and station duties to ensure everything is prepared for emergencies.

Eligibility CriteriaTo join the team at Dunsfold Fire Station, you must:
- Live or work within four to seven minutes of the station, either by foot or vehicle at normal road speeds.
- Be available to respond for a minimum of 54 hours per week. (More details are provided under the ‘Your working week’ section).
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Hold a valid manual (Cat B) driving licence.
