OPC R&D EngineerWhat you will do

• You’ll be part of the OPC team, engaging in computational patterning R&D, including tasks such as curvilinear OPC, hNA EUV OPC and modeling, inverse lithography technology (ILT) and more.
• Your role involves supporting imec’s tapeout OPC efforts, encompassing tasks like SMO, OPC recipe creation, OPC model build, and hands-on OPC execution.
• Your responsibilities will include providing optimal RET solutions across various projects, evaluating OPC requests through collaboration with imec’s patterning and integration teams.
• You’ll also collaborate within imec’s research ecosystem by communicating with both internal and external partners to define, plan, and execute technical projects, mentoring junior engineers on R&D projects.
• You’ll spearhead the development of OPC-related R&D projects, with reporting responsibilities extending to both internal channels and external parties such as imec partners and international conferences.

• A PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science paired with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, or over 7 years of industry experience with a Master’s degree, is preferred.
• Proficiency in at least one (preferably 2) of these software packages is required: SIEMENS (Mentor Graphics), ASML (Brion), or Synopsys.
• Proficiency in rigorous computational patterning software like Synopsys Slitho, KLA prolith, and Hyperlith is a plus.
• Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and scripting languages such as Bash and TCL is expected.
• Fluent English language skills and effective reporting and communication abilities are necessary.
• A collaborative team player with a curious mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
