With a long and proven track record SEB is recognized as a leading northern-European financial services group with a strong foundation of customers ranging from private individuals to large organizations.The recently established Financial Crime Prevention (FCP) function will further accelerate SEBs deployment of advanced financial crime prevention capabilities to continuously meet regulatory expectations and to become a leader in fighting financial crime. The Group Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) within FCP is looking for an Operational Intelligence Analyst as part of this effort.About the jobAs an Operational Intelligence analyst, you will help to undertake qualitative and quantitative analysis to proactively identify financial crime trends and emerging themes that can be used to enhance detection capabilities and also apply strong technical (data & systems) and regulatory knowledge for potential control / risk issues and recommend actions when required.You will be responsible for managing and executing operational inputs, develop and manage a large body of contextual knowledge on banking sectors and the specific financial crime risks associated with them which can support to determine exposure and assess sanctions and AML risks.Furthermore, you will work in close coordination with transactions monitoring, sanctions, and other financial crime functions for managing the identified risk & exposure, and also drive data science and analytics function in multiple projects for building tactical and strategic controls. Hence awareness and understanding of the financial institutions’ external and internal data sources and its utilization for financial crime prevention is a must with a keen interest in business and current affairs, including financial crime.Who are you?We are looking for an individual who is a self-starter and able to drive engagements in a collaborative and communicative way. A relevant candidate needs to have experience of intelligence led initiatives, ideally in a multi business and geographical environment with an understanding of various financial crime schemes and typologies, and other geopolitical aspects supporting them.Furthermore, as the role will be working in an agile manner across various tribes and domains, we appreciate previous experience working in a similar set-up, as well as the ability to overcome complexities and dependencies within the individual projects and across multiple portfolios. In addition, you should have:· Academic degree in IT, Finance, Business, Law or equivalent· Working knowledge of structuring large amounts of data/information and various analytical methodological approaches for financial crime prevention.· Strong track record of development, production and presentation of data intensive analysis those are of strategic and/or operational importance· Development of new tactical and strategic controls and driving global transformations across different geographies, business lines, and support teams· Experience in working within financial crime prevention area, such as AML, or fraud investigations, or within a relevant police or state authority in a similar capacity is a big plus.· Skills to lead, closely collaborate, and influence key stakeholders towards a common visionFluency in English written and spoken is a prerequisite and knowledge of Swedish, or other Nordic languages, is meriting.What we offerSEB offers an attractive and international environment where we strive to adapt to agile and modern ways of working.
