IATA is more than a trade association; it is a vision of a better future for air travel.About the team you are joiningThe Commercial Legal Workstream (CLW) is part of the Legal Services & Corporate Secretary division (LSCS) and is responsible for providing legal support and advice on IATA’s commercial activities, contracts with suppliers and procurement matters, lease agreements and IP matters. The Paralegal is an experienced legal support professional responsible for providing support to the CLW, support on the technical legal operations, and research on diverse subject areas to support IATA’s business activities, both internally and externally and the work of the CLW. The Paralegal reports to the Assistant Director, Associate General Counsel (ADAGC) of the CLW.What your day would be like

• Provides support and assistance to CLW legal counsel including legal research on various subject matters, drafting opinions, and liaising with internal clients and external counsel.
• Provides support and assistance to CLW legal counsel on IATA’s contract review management processes including the update and maintenance of contract templates.
• Supports the CLW with contract administration, management, and compliance, including updating the contract management tool with relevant information and documentation.
• Provides assistance to the LSCS Business Operations Coordinator and LSCS Legal Administrator and under their direction carries out SAP processes for contract workflow in relation to contract management.
• Acts as a technical administrator of IATA’s contract management tool (the Legal contract portal) and assisting with the overall administration of the tool, answering questions and queries from the business on the portal, and providing training on the tool.
• Assisting with the identification of new complimentary legal operations technologies and solutions for contract management and working with the IT team on adoption.
• Delivers training to IATA staff.
• Maintains records in accordance with the LSCS business systems.
• Collaborates with team members on the work of the CLW and where applicable the LSCS.
• Updates legal data bases

• Paralegal certificate from an accredited programme or law society.
• Minimum two years’ experience as a paralegal in an organization of law firm.
• Excellent command of English.
• Effective, confident communicator and a team player.
• Demonstrates ownership of tasks, referring to senior team members for guidance.
• Establishes strong team relationships.
• Demonstrates initiative.
• Legal research skills.
