Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as the first point of contact for customers seeking parts.
  • Provide expert advice and product information to customers, helping them identify the parts they need.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and process sales orders, quotations and invoices.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure accurate and timely dispatch of parts.
  • Monitor and follow up on backorders and ensure customers are kept informed about their order status.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of inventory levels and product availability.
  • Work closely with the inventory team to manage stock levels and reorder parts as necessary.
  • Identify slow-moving stock and suggest strategies to increase sales of these items.

Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a sales or customer service role, preferably in the automotive or heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude and the ability to quickly learn and understand technical product information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with CRM or ERP systems.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
