Job description
We are seeking a motivated pathologist to join a local hospital in Østfold. The pathology department plays a crucial role in supporting a wide range of clinical services by providing diagnostic expertise across multiple medical fields, such as cancer diagnosis, tissue and biopsy examinations, and autopsies.Østfold is a region in Norway known for its natural beauty and proximity to both Oslo and the Swedish border. - Providing diagnostic expertise through the examination of various medical samples.
- Collaborating with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and optimal patient care.
- Preparing detailed pathology reports and contributing to the development of treatment plans.
- Conducting autopsies to determine causes of death when required.
- Keeping up-to-date with advancements in pathology and incorporating new diagnostic techniques where relevant.
You will be part of a modern, well-equipped laboratory with access to cutting-edge technology and a supportive multidisciplinary team.Qualifications:
- Specialist certification in pathology from an EU country.
- Authorization to practice as a medical doctor within the EU.
- Proficiency in English and motivation to learn Norwegian, supported by our free Norwegian language school.
- Experience in laboratory-based pathology work, including microscopy, tissue sample preparation, and molecular diagnostics.
