Descrierea postului
RISC-V open source and open standards as the nucleus for new platform models help to improve overall flexibility and productivity for a wide market access. Given the challenge implied, the RIGOLETTO project will prepare the way for further exploiting the potential of RISC-V ISA (instruction set architecture) as a key technology to address the demands in the context of future Software Defined Vehicles (SDV).The primary objective is to expand, mature, and industrialize a novel European RISC-V automotive ecosystem that enables next-generation high-performance European automotive processors. Enabling safe, secure and real-time automotive functionalities in the RISC-V world, RIGOLETTO will establish the foundation for a next-generation Automotive Computing Platform based on the open RISC-V ISA.Your project will involve developing and verifying time-predictable on-chip communication to support multicore systems and provide a basis for real-time automotive functionalities.Responsibilities:
- Conduct research in time-predictable computer architecture.
- Designing a network-on-chip for real-time automotive systems
- Verify the design with modern verification methods, such as function verification and formal verification.
- runtime analysis and reconfiguration of in-vehicle TSN networks.
- Co-supervise students.
- Optionally contribute to teaching.
Required qualifications:
- Hardware design in a hardware description language such as Chisel, VDHL, or Verilog. Knowing Chisel is a bonus.
- Knowledge of real-time systems
- System programming in C
