Do you want to help shape the future of innovative & sustainable aviation in Norway?This is a unique opportunity to join Bristow and to fly the brand new, fully electric BETA Technologies Alia CTOL aircraft in the Zero and Low Emission Aviation Test Arena.The eCTOL Commander will be part of a small team of personnel dedicated to carrying out eCTOL flights on the Beta Technologies CX300 Alia aircraft under the requirements of an FAA issued Special Airworthiness Certificate and Norwegian issued permissions within the Zero and Low Emission Test Arena.This temporary role will be based in Stavanger, Norway for 8 months, commencing in July 2025, with training being carried out at the Beta Technologies facilities in Vermont, USA.The Test Arena aims to demonstrate the suitability of eCTOL aircraft to integrate into current infrastructure and air operations. It will be based on a cargo use-case and will operate flight routes between Stavanger and Bergen, during both day and night and VFR & IFR conditions. Key tasks: Flight Operations:Carry out single-pilot operations in the eCTOL aircraft to achieve the deliverables of the Test Arena project planMonitor the aircraft limitations, aircraft performance, fuel checks, navigation, terrain clearance and overall safe conduct of flightsAssist in the development of relevant operational procedures and manuals Safety & Compliance:Assist in the development of relevant risk assessments and operational safety caseMaintaining familiarity with relevant EASA & FAA air legislation and agreed aviation practices and proceduresObservation, maintenance, and compliance of Company SOP’s Collaboration and Communication:Work closely with engineering, operations and other departments to ensure alignmentBe able to present effectively to VIP visitors, senior company personnel, regulators and others on the progress of the Test Arena operation Skills and Experience:Ability to work in Norway and European Union statesEASA ATPL (A), with Single Engine endorsementAbility to gain an FAA Airplane Single Engine Land (ASEL) licenceClass One medical certificate with single pilot privilegesSingle-engine, single-pilot VFR and IFR experience in similar geography and climate as the operationsAt least 1,000 hours total hours aeroplaneAt least 500 hours pilot in command (PIC) aeroplaneAt least 100 hours instrument flight time as PIC of an ASEL class aircraftExcellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams.The successful candidate must obtain a police certificate.For more information about the positions, please contact Simon Meakins, Director Advanced Air Mobility EAMEA or Sondre Nordseth, Managing Director Bristow Norway.Om bedriftenBristow Norway AS er et norsk aksjeselskap som leverer offshore helikoptertransport og søk- og redningstjeneste (SAR) til våre kunder innen olje- og gassindustrien.
