The new Research Center For Economics and Firms – building on the former – at the Department of Economics and Business Economics, BSS is seeking one or more student employees to help with data work and other activities supporting research at the center.The Job As a student employee at the research center, you will be part of a dynamic workplace and will be working together with a team of highly dedicated researchers on several projects within the field of Firms and Industry Dynamics. The center conducts research on firms’ behavior and responses to outside changes, the dynamic adjustments of sectors, and the economic systems’ overall responses in general equilibrium.An important part of your tasks will be empirical analyses, and during the employment, you will obtain access to the Danish register data.Your specific work tasks are agreed on an ongoing basis with the leading researchers on the projects. For example, your work tasks will include:

• Assistance to researchers on programming tasks in SAS, Stata and R
• Work on register data, structuring and analyzing data
• Reports, including production of tables, figures, etc.
• Ad hoc administrative support to researchers at the center

Who can apply? The position is relevant for students with a few years of enrollment as well as students who are about to start working on their master’s dissertations.We are looking for students who have

• a general understanding of and interest in economic data and economic models
• a flair for data work
• experience with SAS, Stata or R – this constitute an advantage but is not a requirement
• excellent academic qualifications (as documented by the grade transcript)
• experience from study programs within economics, math-econ, public policy, political science or similar

During the employment period flexible organization of working hours is possible by agreement with the immediate manager, for instance during exam periods.Employment is a fixed-term appointment, but there is an option of a short-term appointment (one or two semesters) or a longer-term appointment (2 years).You will be employed as student programmer with salary and other terms of employment in accordance with the organizational agreement between the Ministry of Finance and
