Main Purpose: As a Power Markets Project Manager – Renewables and BESS at Trafigura Denmark, your primary focus will be on the implementation of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and renewables energy products. You will play a pivotal role in driving our technology projects forward.You will add value by working directly with the traders, manage the external vendors and guide the internal resources through complex challenges and ensuring the successful delivery of software solutions that meet our energy goals.
The role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing project timelines and budgets, and ensuring the successful implementation of BESS projects from offtake and implementation through to completion.Your leadership will foster innovation and efficiency, making a significant impact on our operations and sustainability efforts.Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:Oversee the development and implementation of software solutions for renewable and flexible assets, , ensuring alignment with our energy objectives, sustainability goals, and commercial interests.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including traders, ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with a good market understandingStay abreast of emerging technology trends and innovations in the energy sector, incorporating them into our strategy to enhance efficiency, sustainability, and flexibility trading opportunities.Manage project timelines, resources, and budgets, ensuring the optimal allocation of resources.Ensure the technical feasibility and scalability of projects, addressing any technical challenges and proposing effective solutions.Manager internal and external stakeholders, fostering strong relationships and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Energy field, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.Proven experience in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)Proven experience in a technical leadership role, managing software development projects and teams.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a teamStrong proficiency in software development methodologies and best practices.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically, with a commercial mindset.Experience in the energy sector is highly desirable, with a keen interest in sustainability and innovation.Key Relationships and Department Overview:Head of Intraday TradingIntraday Trading DeskDepartment OverviewTrafigura office in Copenhagen is a leading energy company dedicated to innovative solutions in the short-term power sector.
