The engine of our success is the importance and value that we place on the talent and passion of our people leading to their own professional growth.JOB PURPOSEThe Store Accountant is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring compliance with local financial regulations, and supporting accurate financial reporting. This role acts as a key liaison between local operations and the Italian headquarters, handling tasks such as accounts payable and receivable, store accounting, tax declarations, and audit support. The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication across teams and borders, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic, retail-focused environment.RESPONSIBILITIES
- Management of the incoming mail;
- Send/scan to Italy the documentation received through ordinary mail that must be shared with the HQ (suppliers documentation, communication from landlords, communication from local Authorities);
- Collection of the documentation received by the stores;
- Petty Cash collection and posting;
- Accounts payable: third parties vendor invoices posting;
- Collection of authorization for payment of vendor invoices not managed through SAP MM;
- Accounts receivable: invoicing and third parties;
- Store accounting: reconciliation of store takings, posting of credit cards and first key contact for the stores for issues and discrepancies to be sorted out. Check and support the stores for the correct fiscal treatment of the till transactions;
- Check and communication to the stores of the incoming bank transfers from Clients;
- Clearing of balance sheet accounts;
- Participation to the stocktaking activities for the stores;
- Collaboration in the preparation of the documentation requested by the auditors for statutory financial statement and group reporting package;
- Control and collection of documents required by anti-money laundering regulations and cash use limit;
- Monitor of the communications coming from the local Tax Authorities;
- Preparation of VAT refund documentation for customs duties;
- Interface with the local consultants for the externalized activities;
- Management of intrastat declaration;
- Management of VAT and EC sales declaration;
- Management of the local archive;
- Ensure an efficient collaboration with the other functions at local level and with the colleagues based in Italy.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLSDegree in Economics or an Accounting diploma.Similar experience in the accounting department of a multinational company, preferably in the retail industry.Fluency in English and Swedish.Strong knowledge of local GAAP.Experience with SAP is preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues locally and internationally.Ability to work independently within a small team, often without local peers in the same function.Adaptability to a dynamic and evolving work environment.Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.Applicants must have the legal right to live and work in Sweden.
