Then we build it.We are looking for a Principal Engineer to strengthen our Automation and OT Cybersecurity department in Asker. As a Principal Engineer, you will contribute to Aibel’s exciting journey in the ongoing energy transition. Our portfolio covers manned and unmanned Oil and Gas topsides, High Voltage substations (HVAC or HVDC), electrification and other industry projects. About the positionAibel’s Automation engineers design and specify automation systems solutions and strategies for projects in concept, study and detail phases. You will develop automation philosophies & solutions to the required level, as well as developing strategies, philosophies and secure design solutions for remote operation and remote diagnostics. Responsibilities and tasks include

  • Automation system design, including philosophies, topologies, I/O budget, etc according to project phase and scope
  • Follow-up of IACS supplier wrt deliverables, quality and schedule
  • Arrange and lead internal meetings, client meetings, workshops and reviews
  • Interface with other disciplines, construction, MC, commissioning, operation, other contractors and suppliers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Minimum 8 year’s experience from automation engineering in green field projects
  • Minimum 4 year’s experience from SAS system design activities
  • Experience with development of philosophies, topologies and follow-up for SAS package
  • Experience and thorough knowledge of automation design according to relevant standards such as NORSOK, ATEX, PTIL, DNV and IEC

  • Fluent in written and oral English, Norwegian is an advantage

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
