Join our External Environment team as our new Principal Environmental Consultant and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleAs our new Principal Environmental Consultant, you will aid with the mapping of contamination in soil or building materials, including fieldwork, risk assessment, action planning, and follow-up. This role not only includes environmental monitoring but will also have you consulting, designing and interacting with clients in regards to contaminated soil, environmental due diligence processes, environmental mapping, remediation, and decommissioning of industry/facilities.As our new environmental adviser, you will be part of a vibrant and inclusive working environment that works with several different environmental disciplines. You will join our growing team that is committed to technology that can help develop effective tools to support our work processes, for example our interest in streamlining work methodology through digitization and AI. We are a team that thinks holistically, and works interdisciplinary, proving you the opportunity to work on large and small projects, nationally and locally.Your key responsibilities will be:
- Training of juniors and being a professional support for employees within the subject area
- Have an independent role in acquiring assignments for oneself and others
- Contribute to offer writing, sales, identification of customers and opportunities as part of market work.
- Be a sparring partner for management within professional initiatives
- Management of own projects (assignment manager or project manager), or as a subject manager.
- Understand Rambøll’s business and convey business understanding to other employees
- Contribute to international and national internal professional groups such as contaminated soil, the industry group, transaction services, or decommissioning.
- Overview of relevant regulatory requirements and legislation
- Applications to pollution control authorities
- Can take responsibility for customer work and project management with professional and financial follow-up of projects
About you
- Higher education from university, college, or equivalent with relevant subject choices within, for example, environmental geology, chemistry, geology, soil and water chemistry, or construction/environmental engineering
- Knowledge of guidelines and regulations
- Experience from fieldwork with sampling and collection of samples
- Good Norwegian (and preferably English) written presentation skills
- Good dialogue skills (ability to adapt communication to the recipient)
- Driver’s license
- At least 4 years of relevant experience
- Work with environmental geology, contaminated soil, environmental mapping or remediation, or due diligence processes.
It is advantageous if one has experience from fieldwork and enjoys being out in projects, but experience from the client, authorities, etc. is also worth considering, and relevant training and courses can be provided.What we can offer you
