Job Description:Oracle Database, Exadata, and Cloud Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) Best Practices team resides in Database Server Technologies. Our charter is to deliver the Oracle database HA, data protection and disaster recovery solutions, and best practices to ensure customers meet their uptime and data protection requirements for all Oracle databases and applications. MAA best practices help prevent, detect, tolerate, and repair all types of outages and provide highly available, reliable, and scalable solutions for all platforms. Exadata is Oracle’s best MAA platform because of its differentiated HA, data protection, and quality of service capabilities. The MAA team works closely with strategic engineered systems like Exadata, Oracle Cloud, multicloud (i.e., Oracle Database@Azure, Oracle Database@Google and Oracle Database@AWS) engineering teams, and other Oracle Database server technologies engineering teams like RAC, ADG, GoldenGate, ASM, etc. MAA is committed to integrating and automating MAA architecture, configuration, and life cycle practices in Oracle Cloud and multicloud environments.Career Level – IC4Responsibilities:The MAA website is our single external customer portal that contains our MAA documentation, customer case studies, and best practices papers. • Exadata Best Practices (Architecture, Configuration, and life cycle best practices including exachk)
• Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA) and Recovery Service (ZRCV) MAA Best Practices
• Cloud and Multicloud MAA Best Practices (BaseDB, ExaDB, ExaCC, and Autonomous Database)
• Exadata Security Practices (Exadata’s Maximum Security Architecture and best practices)
• MAA Certifications and new AI solutions to enable customers to leverage MAA solutions

Minimum Requirements for this job role * BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area

• 5 to 10 years experience as Database Administrator
• Good English communication skills (reading and writing) since our team creates best practice papers and solutions
• Participated in managing and administrating Oracle database systems, preferably mission-critical ones (i.e., experience with Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard)
• Oracle Database and Linux hands-on skills, especially around database and system troubleshooting and administration
• Self-learner and ability to work with others and across different teams
• A strong desire to improve Oracle’s products, features, and solutions to reduce downtime and simplify our database and system life cycles. Ultimately, our MAA solutions help customers and build success worldwide. Refer to
