Job Description:About your roleWe are looking for a curious and detailed-oriented Junior Data Steward to join our product data governance team. This is an excellent opportunity to grow your technical skills, develop expertise in master data management, and make a tangible impact on data quality and consistency across global systems.Our team is part of the Commercial Product Development and Product Lifecycle Management organization, which is primarily responsible for the industrialization and maintenance of pharmaceutical products. Product Data Governance experts ensure the quality of master data for procurement, manufacturing, and registration processes. The team continuously improves data management and governance procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance.The role is temporary (approximately for 6 months) and located in Espoo or Turku offices in Finland, and our team follow Orion’s hybrid mode of working.Your key responsibilities
- Develop expertise in pharmaceutical product definition, with a focus on technical attributes and lifecycle processes within the product data domain (Semarchy MDM)
- Collaborate closely with experienced data stewards to shape and strengthen our product data domain
- Conduct periodic reviews to ensure data alignment and consistency across systems
- Participate in agile development sprints with our global data development team
- Gather, analyze, and summarize feedback from end users to enhance usability and data quality
- Provide hands-on support for data-related queries and help resolve data quality issues using continuous improvement methods
- Communicate data-related changes, enhancements, and best practices to stakeholders in a clear and proactive manner
- Keep documentation for assigned data domains, processes, and standards up to date and well organized

- A degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or Digital Systems & Design (or equivalent)
- Preferably hands-on experience in PLM, MDM or ERP systems
- Previous experience of data management and business process development
- Familiarity with agile development methods; knowledge of Confluence and Jira is a plus
- Understanding of continuous improvement practices
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while working systematically and independently
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills
- Fluency in English and Finnish
- Understanding of the process or pharmaceutical industry is considered an asset
