Contract Type: Full Time, PermanentOBJECTIVES:To develop new food products and improve existing products and processes in line with company standards and market demands.RESPONSIBILITIES:Product Development & InnovationPropose and support the introduction of new product lines and improvements to existing products and processes.Prepare product samples, conduct plant trials, and assist in the evaluation of trial outcomes.Ensure that all new products are safe, stable, and compliant with current food legislation and regulations.Provide support for new equipment selection, installation, and commissioning, including the development of Standard Operating Procedures.Quality & ComplianceWork closely with the Quality team to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) during product development.Conduct and interpret chemical, physical, sensory, and microbiological tests, and take appropriate action based on findings.Assist in compiling product specifications, labels, and internal procedures.Production SupportCollaborate with the production team during the rollout of new product lines and the enhancement of current processes.Provide technical support to the Sales team and liaise with suppliers on raw materials and product specifications.Maintain accurate and detailed records of development work and seek guidance where necessary.Safety & CultureContribute to a safety-first culture by supporting the prompt resolution of near misses and incidents.Promote cross-functional collaboration to enhance engagement, morale, and productivity.Participate actively in a culture of continuous improvement and help implement best practice initiatives.Perform other duties as required in support of team and company objectives.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:A third-level qualification in Food Science or a related discipline is desirable.Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment is essential.At Quorum Search Partners we respect your privacy.
