You will be responsible for developing the roadmap for our Metrics platform, setting a vision and boundaries for what Metrics is and what it is not. In our world, Metrics is a platform that visualizes the equipment data from our customer´s equipment (both Metso and 3rd party) and analyzes this data to generate insights and alarms. Our vision is for the platform to directly interact with our critical business applications so that these insights are actionable, e.g., generating leads and opportunities in our CRM system, generating service requests in our field management system, and much more.This global position would be ideally based in Espoo. We at Metso offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.The team you belong toYou will join our Equipment performance team in our Minerals Digital organization. We are driven by a new and ambitious digital strategy, aiming to scale up our condition monitoring services, prescriptive maintenance, and performance optimization services to use our technical expertise in supporting our customers. Our team culture is all about getting it done together with a collaborative approach and having the customer at the center of all our development efforts.In addition to the business and product experts, you will work closely in the digital organization with service designers for customer and user journeys, user experience designers, software, data, and analytics teams, architecture teams, and performance center experts, as well as with the field service and technical support colleagues to clearly articulate the vision for Metrics sharply, have a user feedback loop and continuously improve the usability.What you’ll do
- Create a vision and roadmap for the Metrics platform, which will launch equipment performance and data-driven solutions and services for customer and internal use cases.
- Collaborate closely with business lines and equipment performance product groups to create requirement specifications and systematic follow-up
- Plan realistically and systematically manage all the major and minor releases of prioritized features in coordination with EP product owners and business lines
- Identify gaps in current business processes that rely on information from Metrics or require internal or customer actions based on Metrics data. Work with relevant process owners to update the processes and communicate them to stakeholders.
- Develop Metrics training plans together with Metso Training Academy for Metso internal and external users
- Agree on success KPIs for the Metrics development with Equipment performance product managers and business lines, follow up and report with a regular cadence
- Steer and influence architecture planning from end-to-end user journeys perspective, taking into account required integrations and interfaces to existing IT, digital & business applications landscape
Who you are
- Strong hands-on experience and track record of successfully building similar systems.
- You have strong influencing and facilitation skills, ensuring we keep the platform focused on customer and business problems and do not overengineer it.
- You are a strong team player with empathetic listening skills
- You have strong communication and coordination skills.
- You have very good business analysis skills to work with business lines and product groups and the ability to speak with teams at a technical level.
- You ideally come from a systems engineering background with solid business understanding.
