Reports to: Plant Director/Operations ManagerJob Overview:We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the daily operations of our chemical manufacturing facility in Helsingborg. The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemical manufacturing and a deep understanding of production processes within the chemicals industry. This role will be responsible for optimizing production processes, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, managing a production team, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:
Production Oversight: Manage and coordinate all production activities to meet quality, quantity, and safety targets.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of operators and shift supervisors, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and collaboration.
Quality Assurance: Oversee the production of highly regulated products, ensuring all processes meet required quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Process Optimization: Analyze production data and workflows to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing throughput, reducing waste, and lowering production costs.
Safety and Compliance: Uphold strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations in alignment with company and industry standards.
Resource Management: Manage production schedules, equipment, and resources to ensure efficient use of assets and timely delivery of products.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with R&D, Quality Control, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to support product development and resolve production-related issues.
Reporting: Prepare and present reports on production performance, safety metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations are compliant with relevant regulations and certifications for the chemical industry, including those specific to water treatment and additive production.
Key Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production management within a chemical manufacturing environment, preferably with experience in water treatment and additive production.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of chemical production processes, especially in regulated environments. Familiarity with production technology and methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, or other process optimization tools.
Leadership Skills: Proven experience managing and developing teams within a production setting.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze production data, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to improve performance and productivity.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (Swedish language proficiency is a plus).
Compliance and Safety Focus: Knowledge of relevant regulatory standards (e.g., REACH, EPA, ISO, etc.) and a demonstrated commitment to upholding health, safety, and environmental policies.
