About the CompanyOur client is a leading, multidisciplinary engineering company with over 40 years of experience in the planning and implementation of infrastructure facilities across the energy, environment and transport sectors in Switzerland.Location: Bern, Zurich, Lucerne, or FribourgYour RoleOur client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Engineer. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to significant projects involving high- and extra-high-voltage switchgear.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing projects across various SIA phases, encompassing planning, implementation, analysis, and the preparation of studies for both new constructions and upgrades in the 50 Hz and 16.7 Hz frequency ranges. This includes ensuring adherence to applicable technical standards and legal requirements.Furthermore, the Project Engineer/Project Manager will support construction and building planning through the conceptual design of 3D models (e.g., BIM), as well as 2D plans, plant layouts, and sections. This involves meticulously obtaining the necessary technical system data and configurations. The role also requires clarifying interfaces with project staff, customers, and suppliers, and preparing essential documents such as schedules, stage plans, and circuit diagrams for ESTI submissions.Your ProfileThe ideal candidate for this challenging role will possess:
- A completed university degree in Electrical Engineering or a comparable field.
- Proven professional experience in the field of high or extra-high voltage switchgear.
- Experience in designing the primary technology of switchgear is considered a distinct advantage.
- Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal requirements in the switchgear sector and the ability to apply IEC standards and ESTI guidelines.
- A structured, independent working style complemented by a strong quality awareness.
- Enthusiasm for tackling technical challenges and engaging in interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Fluent German or French language skills are a mandatory requirement.
