Affinity Water have a fantastic opportunity available to become a Project Manager – Liaison Engineer working alongside our Liaison Engineers.The Role:The Project Manager – Senior Liaison Engineer (SLE) at Affinity Water is instrumental in leading the management and execution of water infrastructure projects, such as new mains and diversions and providing additional technical support to the Liaison Engineers.Reporting to the Self Lay Lead, this role encompasses complete oversight from project initiation to completion, maintaining rigorous standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Emphasising customer service, safety, and project excellence, the SLE maintains and fosters relationships with developer-customers and ensures all projects align with Affinity Water’s commitment to ‘Zero Harm’ and customer satisfaction.What you’ll be doing:You will be responsible for supporting on complex works and maintaining high standards across various operational and strategic areas. Some of the responsibilities include:

  • To Lead and support on complex water project initiatives, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
  • Champion the ‘Zero Harm’ safety culture across all operations and maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Mentor and support Liaison Engineers, enhancing their skills and cohesion as a unified team.
  • Prepare and present detailed monthly reports to the Leads, outlining key issues, achievements, and rectification strategies.
  • Support & Lead liaison days with Affinity Water’s network and operations teams, fostering collaboration and alignment across departments.

What you’ll need:

  • In-depth knowledge of water networks & supply systems or equivalent.
  • APM-P, PRINCE2 certification or equivalent.
  • Experienced in leading health & safety initiatives in construction environments and leading the delivery of RAM.
  • Experience in mentoring & coaching.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
  • Full UK Driving License.

  • Salary: £49,000 (dependent on skills and experience).
  • Hours of work: 08:30am – 17:00pm ( Mon – Thurs) 08:30am – 16:30pm (Fri)
  • This role may require you to work from Hatfield, on site locations or from home. (Dependent on business needs)
