We are seeking an experienced Intermediate Project Manager to join a high-profile infrastructure programme within the energy/utilities sector. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operations of the Programme Management Office (PMO), ensuring robust governance, reporting, and project controls are in place. This is a critical role for supporting senior stakeholders and driving best practices across a multi-disciplinary programme team.Key Responsibilities:Support the operational activities of the PMO, ensuring structured governance, controls, and oversight are in place for all active workstreams.Collaborate closely with the PMO Manager to implement and enhance the programme’s governance framework, ensuring alignment with broader organisational policies.Lead the review and refinement of existing project controls and governance structures, identifying areas for improvement and implementing process enhancements.Manage project reporting workflows, ensuring timely and accurate tracking of milestones, deliverables, issues, and risks across the programme.Develop and maintain executive dashboards that provide clear, actionable insights for programme leadership and senior stakeholders.Oversee the integrity and management of the programme schedule, working alongside the Project Scheduler to ensure alignment of timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.Design and execute an effective information and data management strategy, optimising the use of SharePoint and other collaboration tools for internal and external stakeholders.Required Experience & Skills:5+ years of project management experience, preferably within large-scale infrastructure or utility projects.Strong background in PMO environments with a solid understanding of governance, reporting, scheduling, and risk management.Proven experience in reviewing and improving project management processes and documentation standards.Proficiency with project collaboration and tracking tools (e.g., MS Project, SharePoint, Power BI, or similar).Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders.Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented.Desirable Qualifications:Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)Experience in regulated or government-funded environmentsFamiliarity with major infrastructure delivery lifecycles
