Oulunkylä English Kindergarten is looking for an EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION TEACHER or SOSIONOMI.We have two small English immersion/daycare centers right next to Oulunkylä station. In the fall of 2025, we will open a third unit in Oulunkylä. We provide early childhood education and preschool for children aged 1 to 6 years. Our team currently includes a preschool teacher and kindergarten manager, along with four nursery nurses, two early childhood education teachers, two daycare assistants and two group assistants. Now, we are seeking to expand our team with additional early childhood education teachers and sosionomis for our new unit, with groups for 1-3 and 3-5-year-olds.Your teaching and working language will be both Finnish and English. You will plan and develop activities together with the rest of the team, but the main responsibility for pedagogical activities will be yours. Your duties will also include child care tasks, close cooperation with parents, managing routines of the daycare, communication, pedagogical documentation, developing and evaluating activities, and organizing events with the team. Working hours vary on weekdays from 7:30 am to 4:45 pm, with a weekly schedule of 38 hours and 20 minutes. The position is open to both experienced early childhood education teachers and sosionomis and recent graduates with a social services degree or a bachelor’s degree in education, as long as they meet the qualification requirements.To be eligible, applicants must have the appropriate qualification according to the Early Childhood Education Act (540/2018), such as a Bachelor of Social Services (AMK) degree (at least 60 credits) or a bachelor’s degree in education that includes early childhood education teacher training.
