The business unit within Hitachi Energy located in Ludvika, Sweden produces and sells high voltage bushings and tap changers to customers worldwide. These components are an essential part of reliable and energy efficient power systems.The opportunity
As Quality manager you will lead our entire factory quality function and be a part of the factory management team. Put your management skills to use in shaping the future of our quality function thereby making a crucial contribution to the entire operations!How you’ll make an impact

• Lead the quality function and secure excellence in internal processes and organizational capability in the quality function. The quality function contains two operational quality departments and some specialists managing projects and maintenance of the quality system.
• Be an active member of the local management team
• Represent the unit in all matters regarding quality towards internal, as well as external customers
• We are looking for someone with a strong customer orientation, who understands the importance of aligning quality initiatives with customer expectations and satisfaction.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the entire value chain by applying methodologies such as FMEA, DFMA, and DFQ to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer value.

Your BackgroundYou are an engaged leader driven by the development of both people and processes. You are interested in facts, and you seek to understand the technological aspects of both manufacturing and technology. You represent the customer in internal discussions whilst at the same time being able to manage internal resources and bottlenecks. With a strong background in quality, you thrive in a dynamic environment where change is a natural part of everyday operations.

• You hold a degree in engineering or similar and have work experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Swedish is a requirement for this position.
• Previous management experience is required.
• Experience from Quality field, Continuous Improvement, Lean 6 Sigma or similar is advantageous.
