Job description

We are seeking an R&D Engineer II to join our client in Galway on a 12 month contract to support a ramp up in business. You will contribute technical expertise to research and product development projects, helping translate scientific discoveries into innovative medical devices that improve patient outcomes.Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, and troubleshoot products during research and development phases.
• Design studies to investigate specific life science questions within your area of expertise.
• Participate in product research, development projects, and clinical trials as needed.
• Translate research findings into marketable and manufacturable medical products.
• Provide technical support throughout project lifecycles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in research and development, preferably within medical devices or life sciences.
• Practical knowledge and demonstrated competence in product development or research.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team.
