Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Scientist in Food Science Research to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food science and a passion for innovation in the food industry, preferably with knowledge about antimicrobials and their interaction with food matrices.

• Understand different food matrices and their interactions with antimicrobials to design and conduct antimicrobial screenings in applications.
• Collaborate closely with R&D and application colleagues in a multicultural environment to address customer and matrix requirements.
• Utilize blending techniques to create new and improved food protection formulations.
• Employ high-throughput methods for efficient and rapid testing of food samples.
• Support the scale-up process to production and assist in supply chain management and regulatory review.
• Write technical reports and present findings to key stakeholders.
• Review patents and scientific articles and propose research initiatives aligned with business strategies and market trends.
• Conduct data analysis to interpret results and drive decision-making processes.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in food science and apply this knowledge to ongoing projects.

Required Experience and Skills:

• The ideal candidate should hold at least a MSc in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field.
• Proficiency in techniques related to screening is necessary.
• A couple of years of experience in project management is essential. Ideally, this experience should be gained in a food company.
• Experience in high-throughput experimentation for antimicrobial efficacy testing.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis.
• Self-motivation and the ability to take ownership of tasks and adapt to changing situations.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration.
• Strong ability to work in a cross-functional team environment.
