- Project follow up – Act as engineering contact for assigned projects (including pre-contractual), providing the design for the provision plant- ensuring technical execution and timely delivery of drawings and documentation
- Technical documentation – Prepare detailed drawings, specifications and calculations related to project delivery. Ensuring compliance of the refrigeration system according to relevant rules and requirements. Reviewing supplier drawings and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Collaboration – Keep close contact with procurement and other relevant stakeholders to ensure on time material delivery to the different Vard shipyards (worldwide).
- Commissioning and production support – On site QC and commissioning of the refrigeration equipment in the different Vard shipyards (worldwide) as well as leading FAT and HAT as final inspection with client
- Production development – Follow up the design and fabrication process of the refrigeration system whilst maintaining an awareness of market trends/requirements in order to ensure equipment design meets current market demands
Qualifications
- Education & experience – Professional certification is desirable, preferably with F-gas certificate. Experience in the installation of refrigeration system or similar pipes. Relevant experience in ventilation and/or refrigeration can compensate for this
- ICT & documentation skills – Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office package is essential. Strong technical documentation skills are critical
- Industry knowledge – Familiarity with shipbuilding rules and regulations will be beneficial
- Language skills – Strong written and spoken English is a must
