Make a meaningful impact on health and environmental safety with ECHA.2.Key responsibilitiesThe main tasks of the Regulatory Officer include the following:Work within regulatory processes verifying administrative, regulatory and scientific information against predefined criteria, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulatory provisions and legal deadlines.Design processes to efficiently implement regulatory obligations, understanding the regulatory context, the key obligations and steps; work in collaboration with key stakeholders (internal and external).Review of regulatory processes and procedures, proactively propose measures to increase efficiency and consistency, assessing and communicating the impact of regulatory developments, including on related IT tools, process instructions, stakeholders.Product management of IT tools relevant to assigned processes by collaborating and aligning with other relevant colleagues, partners and stakeholders. Collecting, specifying and prioritising business requirements, planning and coordinating the implementation, testing, and contributing to the roll-out phase.Contributing to data management and data availability activities relevant to regulatory processes; following agreed governance and standard procedures and ensuring the protection of sensitive information.Projects, including planning, priority setting, progress monitoring, and other related activities, as well as overseeing and facilitating the activities of working groups and expert groups.Additional tasks include:Drafting communications, formal decisions, technical instructions, and guidance documents. Supporting external stakeholders by responding to helpdesk tickets and other engagement activities.Preparation of training and support materials for the stakeholders.Contributing to forecasting, planning and reporting activities related to assigned processes.3.Minimum qualificationsTo qualify for this profile, you must have completed university studies of at least three (3) years, attested by a diploma.Only qualifications issued by EU Member State authorities or EEA authorities and qualifications recognised as equivalent by the relevant EU or EEA Member State authorities will be accepted.4.Professional experienceTo qualify for this profile, you must have at the closing date for applications a total professional experience of at least one (1) year acquired after achieving the minimum requirements stated out in section 2 of this vacancy notice.5.Selection criteriaIf you meet the eligibility criteria, you will be assessed on the basis of the following selection criteria:
Your academic and professional qualifications and their relevance to the main areas of work listed in section 2.
Your professional experience: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in functions similar to those outlined in section 2. The Selection Committee will assess the range of fields covered, the type, and level of work done and its relevance to the areas of work listed in section 2.
The following will be considered as assets:
Work experience with at least one piece of legislation under ECHA’s current or future mandate.
Practical work experience with the regulatory IT tools used for the preparation and submission of chemical information (e.g. IUCLID 6, REACH-IT, R4BP 3).
Work experience gained in a similar multicultural environment. Preference will be given to work experience abroad.
