With about 300 members, BECC offers an extensive network of potential collaborators from different disciplines.Work dutiesBECC is looking for a Research Coordinator with a focus on research grants with appropriate professional experience to support researchers in the application process and disseminate information about opportunities: from identification of suitable major calls and grant opportunities (especially international, and especially within the EU Framework Programme, now Horizon Europe) and project application, to project management support, project administration and reporting, so-called pre-award (primarily) and post-award.
Within this position you will regularly interact with BECC researchers and the institutions where they are active (administration and finance), central research services at Lund and Gothenburg Universities, communication officers, external collaboration partners, funders and bibliometricians. Overall, you will have a central role in contributing to BECC’s common goals, such as strengthening international collaboration and increasing external funding through, for example, EU funds. The role requires initiative, creativity and a broad interest in research.Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in a research area relevant to BECC, focusing on biodiversity, ecosystem services, carbon cycle or climate change, or equivalent.
- Documented experience in writing, applying for and obtaining national and/or international research grants.
- Documented experience in contributing to the application process and writing of Horizon Europe or similar major applications.
- Documented excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Documented experience in scientific writing, including for a wider audience.
- Understanding of, and interest in interdisciplinary work.
- Documented experience in coordinating research and/or collaborative projects with several participating organisations.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
