The UCL Hawkes Institute ( ) combines methodological researchers from the Departments of CS and Medical Physics & Bioengineering with biomedical and clinical groups in the Faculty of Biomedicine.About the roleThe new post will contribute to on-going research within Cami group at the UCL Hawkes Institute ( ). This concentrates on microstructure imaging using diffusion MRI and will focus on technical developments underpinning applications in oncology.This role is an open-ended contract with a funding end date of 28th February 2026.Appointment at Grade 7, salary £44,480 – £51,860, is dependent upon having been awarded a PhD; if this is not the case, initial appointment will be at Grade 6B (salary £38,607 – £41,255 per annum) with payment at Grade 7 being backdated to the date of final submission of the PhD Thesis.This appointment is subject to UCL Terms and Conditions of Service for Research and Professional Services Staff. Please visit for more information.About youThe role involves contributing to the design and execution of experiments within Microstructure imaging projects, with a focus on MRI. It includes engaging in biophysical modelling, software development, and empirical imaging tasks. The researcher will be responsible for setting up and conducting experiments, collecting and analysing data, and documenting results in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
