Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience, etc. Eligible applicants will be those who on the closing date for the competition:Hold a third level qualification to a minimum standard of Higher Certificate (Quality and Qualifications Ireland Level 6), in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Services.OrPossess a Quality and Qualifications Ireland (QQI) Level 6 (or higher) Advanced Certificate Craft.OrPossess the National Craft Certificate issued by FETAC for Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil ServicesAndHave a minimum of 3 years management experience as a foreman over trade discipline works relating to their qualification, and at least 5 years post qualification / apprenticeship experience in maintenance of industrial, commercial and domestic type buildings or similar.2. HealthA candidate for and any person holding the office must be fully competent and capable of undertaking the duties attached to the office and be in a state of health such as would indicate a reasonable prospect of ability to render regular and efficient service.3. CharacterEach candidate for and any person holding the office must be of good character.
