Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Creating and executing the strategic Intermediates sales plan that maximizes profitability long-term for our mining company, including internal and external allocation of products.
- Creating of and follow-up on the sales budget based on the smelters production budget.
- Implementing logistics solutions applicable to given product sales.
- Contracts negotiations and overseeing contract execution.
- Exploring the market for buyers of intermediates, identify (new) opportunities and initiate development of our smelters capabilities by creating business cases.
- Building and maintaining relationships with current and potential customers.
- Executing of Business Partner Evaluation process within our companies s ESG policies.
- Representing our company’s Smelters at industry events, conferences and industry associations.
- Stay up to date on market developments, including writing market reports.
- Challenge and improve our processes and routines.
What you bring:For this role we are looking for a person with strong analytic skills, who can grasp the meaning of plans, facilitates and conducts multifaceted, extended negotiations for the sales of complex, high-value, multi-year contracts. As a person you need to be pro-active and cooperative to work well with others in cross-functional teams.
- A master s degree in business administration, Economics and/or Engineering.
- Minimum five years experience of a commercial role in the metals industry. Preferably in intermediate products coming from the smelters. Relevant technical experience is a merit as well.
- Experience in contract reading and writing.
- Presentation skills.
- Strong social skills to create long-term relationships.
- Experience of understanding markets and its dynamics and create relevant strategies.
- English language both written and verbal. Other languages are a merit.
