Core activities are sensor engineering, advanced data-analytics and application development.We’re looking for a highly skilled and driven Sales Manager in the Energy market, to boost our overall sales and business development. Focus markets are the (petro-)chemical, oil and gas and renewable sector. The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving overall sales strategies, developing new business opportunities in the US and Middle East, and leading our sales team to achieve our growth objectives in key markets.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the US Energy sector and has already experienced working in the US. This role requires the ability to create and implement strategic sales plans, manage sales pipelines and collaborate closely with international teams to align sales efforts with company goals.The Sales Manager is responsible for learning and selling current products and new products, keeping abreast of new technologies, recommending/sharing changes and trends seen in the field and meeting sales goals in targeted international markets (US and Middle East). He/she develops sales plans and forecasts in close collaboration with the management to identify and produce a steady pipeline of prospects. He/she stays current on market developments, industry trends and competitor activity. He/she partners with internal technical and marketing teams to utilize customer insights and market intelligence to contribute to the roadmap.Other responsibilities of the Sales Manager include:

  • Frequent travels to (potential) distributors and sales representatives as well as travels alone to visit end user customers.
  • Management of the Belgian sales team. Management of the local sales reps in the different countries in the future.
  • Active participation in defining the pricing strategy for the different products. Taking the lead in identifying and prioritizing the most relevant business opportunities.
  • Contribution to prospection & pre-sales activities and taking the lead in customer meetings and follow-up.
  • Creating and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline for your products.
  • Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates the product in the market.
  • Provide technical direction and support to the product development team.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Define and communicate the product vision and strategy in alignment with company goals.
  • Attending industry and distributor trade shows.
  • Prepare tenders for clients in collaboration with colleagues and management.
  • Master’s degree or any five years of academic degree, by preference an engineering or Business Administration background.
  • Technical profile with a proven track-record in sales management for industrial clients, by preference in energy related infrastructure (including Oil, Gas, Petrochemical industry)
  • Passionate about sales & marketing with at least 5 years of sales experience in a technical B2B-environment, by preference the oil, gas, petrochemical or renewables energy market.
  • You are fluent in English, both verbal and written. You master both verbal and written, one extra language of the following: Dutch, French or German. You have strong writing and presentation skills.
  • You demonstrate a high level of initiative, motivation and autonomy.
  • You have a natural sales flair with great communication skills
  • Current residence is in the EU or US/Canada
  • Willing to travel frequently for multiple days to weeks, mainly to US/Canada and Middle East countries.
