Job DescriptionSection Manager (Construction)We are currently recruiting a Section Manager to join a leading construction team in Co. Dublin.This exciting opportunity is perfect for a motivated, experienced professional with a background in large-scale residential construction. The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating works packages, managing subcontractors, and overseeing construction teams to ensure the successful delivery of the project.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Site Manager in coordinating works packages and programming.
  • Ensure compliance with building regulations.
  • Oversee specific building works packages including frame, envelope, and site development/groundworks.
  • Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and the construction team.
  • Provide quality oversight and ensure the accurate interpretation of design detailing and implementation.
  • Lead engineering oversight and manage the engineering team responsible for setting out the works.
  • Collaborate with the Safety Officer to ensure best safety practices are implemented on site.
  • Manage site logistics and coordinate the installation of utilities.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree/Higher Diploma qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5+ years of post-qualification experience.
  • Strong background in large-scale residential construction, particularly apartment/house building.
  • Excellent working knowledge of building regulations and certification standards.
  • Proven ability to meet demanding time and quality targets.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and accurate.
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels and in a team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Capable of coordinating multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to take responsibility for completing designated tasks.
