To continue to ensure that the financial results are reported accurately, timely and in compliance with local regulations we are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team at HQ in Stockholm. Check out what our Head of Accounting has to say!YOUR MISSION AT VOIAs a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for the accounting of financial transactions and a wide range of financial reportings across multiple markets in Europe. In this role you will collaborate cross-functionally with people across the markets, and the rest of the finance team to ensure that the financial results are reported correctly, timely and in compliance with local regulations. This will include:

  • Managing current postings and accounting matters in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Belgium
  • Reviewing and posting employee expenses, and ensuring appropriate accounting and VAT coding, as well as preparing and answering for the VAT reporting at large for the relevant markets
  • Preparing and answering for balance sheet reconciliations in monthly closing
  • Participating in the external audit and monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting processes, including collaborating with the controller and auditors in preparing the annual accounts, corporate reporting and tax filings
  • Preparing and answering for the monthly P&L analysis performed on legal entity level, including identifying and managing accruals and prepayments
  • Aligning and collaborating with FP&S by sharing insights from the legal accounts and related accruals
  • Collaborating continuously with the rest of the finance team to ensure compliant and accurate financial records, efficient processes and effective controls

WHAT YOU NEED TO EMBARKWe are looking for a highly organised, result- and solution oriented accountant, who sees challenges as opportunities to grow and improve the current way-of-working. In addition to being professionally fluent in English, we believe the right person has:

  • A university degree in Business administration, Finance or Economics, or equivalent education in business economics or accounting including certification as chartered accountant
  • +3 years of experience from independently working with accounting and month-end closing tasks
  • Experience from working and collaborating in an international environment
  • Knowledge of IFRS – knowledge of German GAAP is a merit
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets – experience with NetSuite is a merit
  • Professional fluency in German is a merit
