Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client’s team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, compliance and tax regulations, and supporting strategic financial decision-making. This role is based fully onsite in Meath.Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Ensure compliance with Revenue requirements, and relevant legislation
• Manage general ledger reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Oversee VAT returns, PAYE/PRSI submissions, Tax filings
• Weekly payroll
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Supervision of finance staff
• Identify and implement process improvements in financial systems and controls

Qualifications and Experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA)
• Minimum 3-5 years’ post-qualification experience in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of Irish tax, accounting standards, and financial reporting
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent analytical, organisational, and communication skills
