Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Application Software Engineer to join our team in Oslo, Norway. In this role, you will play a key part in developing embedded application software for data capture systems. The position requires strong programming expertise, a deep understanding of embedded systems, and experience with hardware interfacing.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player with a passion for automation and a commitment to quality. You can learn more about our data capture software (OCTO) here:This position reports to the Team Lead, Application Software.Key roles and responsibilities:

• Develop robust, high-performance software solutions tailored to the unique requirements of industrial environments.
• Interact with stakeholders to develop a strong understanding of the project/product requirements.
• Responsible for technical specification, software testing and documentation.
• Debug and resolve software issues, ensuring the reliability and stability of the software.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the enhancement of coding standards and best practices.
• Support to sales, production and Mettler-Toledo technicians in the field.

Must have skills and qualifications:

• Strong programming skills in languages C / Modern C++ for windows and Linux
• Proven experience working with industrial application software.
• Experienced working with QT, Git.
• Bachelor/ Master or equivalent in one of the areas Computer Science, Software Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant programming experience.
