This Senior Backend Engineer role is with a well-established med-tech company in Dublin. They have a strong engineering presence here, as well as their own product, which is used by a lot of big pharmaceutical and medical companies. They’re currently expanding their business due to more clients using their product and, with more products on the way, they need the additional software firepower!This Senior Backend Engineer is a part of their Growth team, a team of Senior Engineers that focuses on the design and development of new products and features for the company. They do this with a tech stack of Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, Kafka, AWS, SQL and more, all the while putting a huge emphasis on technologies as they’re the core of their products. They have a roadmap in place with several massive projects, including products where you’ll be able to contribute to the overall design of the product with your experience!The ideal candidate for this Senior Backend Engineer position has more than 6 years of experience with Java (or Kotlin – a big plus) and Springboot, as well as a self-starter mentality and the desire to work in a start-up-ish culture with all the benefits of a well-established company. A desire to grow is absolutely necessary as the company offers strong opportunities to progress into Staff/Principal roles!Model of work: The company is Dublin-based and they go to the office 2 days / week. They’re interested only in candidates with a valid Stamp 4 Visa or EU Citizenship.You will:
- Build new software products in the med-tech industry
- Collaborate with a well-established team
- Impact the future of the company’s latest products via Product Ownership
You have:
- 6+ years of experience with Java (or Kotlin – a big plus)
- A self-starter mentality with a lot of autonomy
- A keen interest in growth
