Join us – we are looking for you!As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play an important role in designing, building, and maintaining our backend systems that power real-time streaming and web applications. Each day, you’ll work closely with the operations team to troubleshoot issues, monitor performance metrics, and ensure our systems are optimized, secure, and resilient.In your day-to-day work, you’ll be responsible for designing and implementing backend components with a focus on scalability, security, and performance. You’ll also work collaboratively to detect and resolve bugs, monitor metrics, and maintain application stability; while also building and testing APIs to serve and integrate data with API management tools.As a Senior you’ll also get the chance to mentor teammates, participate in code reviews, and contributing to a collaborative team culture.You’ll also have the opportunity to leverage cutting-edge technologies such as Kotlin, Java, and Apache Kafka to manage and operationalize large-scale data flows, while supporting your team in finding innovative solutions and celebrating shared achievements.A stable, high-quality product is the entire team’s responsibility, and as a Senior Backend Engineer you are responsible monitor, analyzing, and interpreting complex, distributed, and real-time data to ensure accuracy, detect issues quickly and maintain performance.WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

• You have strong experience in Kotlin, Java, or Spring Boot, with a proven track record in backend development for applications in active production;
• You have are proficient in implementing RESTful APIs to serve data and integrate them with API management tools;
• You are experienced implementing CI/CD pipelines for fast and reliable deployments;
• You have a deep understanding of Application and Infrastructure Design in a Cloud Environment;
• You are knowledgeable regarding best practices in software development, such as documenting solutions, completing pull requests, and writing simple, effective code;
• You are comfortable with databases such as Postgres;
• You are used to working in Agile environments (Kanban, Scrum) and are familiar with best practices in collaborative software development;
• You are experienced with deep trade-off thinking when reviewing technical decisions;
• You have experienceworking in a feedback and knowledge-sharing driven culture;
• You are fluent in English.

NICE-TO-HAVE:

• You have experience in Azure Environment and cloud deployment;
• You have experience with Streaming technologies, namely Kafka, Flink, Spark or others;
• You know infrastructure and networking – understanding the importance of Observability and Monitoring using Grafana and Prometheus.
