The cross functional teams collectively work with innovative ideas, development of products and platform and set the vision and strategy for the problem spaces they own. The Product & Tech organisation consists of a bit more than 200 people spread across Stockholm, Lisbon, Örebro, Paris, London and Izmir.All teams consist of a product manager, an engineering manager, a lead developer and engineers. Some teams also have designers and analytics competence in the team. They all work closely together to enable new products and features within existing products within Europe and to make sure the payment platform runs without interruptions and with high performance.About the roleWe are now looking to strengthen our engineering capacity within Product & Technology with one more senior backend engineer. We operate in an agile culture, allowing our teams to take on full responsibility from code to on-call. As a senior engineer you will join the Payout team and be part of building the next generation Payout product service. \nWhat you’ll do

• In your role as a senior backend engineer, you will play a key role in developing, maintaining and improving our platform and digital products
• Be a part of our development team and build new product features, as well as our next-generation system platform
• Develop and build scalable systems together with our engineering teams, ensuring high quality in automation and monitoring
• Work closely with other engineers, lead devs, engineering managers and product managers on a daily basis, understanding and conveying the business value in what we build and why we build it
• Be a key team member and a role model for other engineers, enabling others to thrive

Who you are:

• 5 years + of experience working with Java and modern frontend frameworks (preferably React) and building robust and scalable systems in agile environments
• A natural leader with a can-do attitude and with a proactive approach
• Comfortable in full development lifecycle, from drafting application design to implementing and supporting it
• Experienced in service-based architecture and microservices
• Experienced in Postgres, Kubernetes, Linux, Kafka, Docker, Datadog and Spring boot
• Experienced working with cloud based solutions, preferably AWS
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex systems
• Passionate for working in a DevOps environment, considering ownership and excellence fundamental parts of development
• Interested in researching and introducing new technologies to drive innovation in your team
• Fluent in English
