About Kaisa.ioKaisa.io is fast-growing a venture-backed B2B SaaS company, primarily serving automotive OEMs and Marketplaces (MPs) in Europe. Their core product is a “call tracking” and lead attribution platform that helps marketplaces prove ROI to their customers (car dealerships) by capturing and analyzing inbound leads. They’re now expanding their product capabilities (e.g., workflow builder, AI-driven analytics, direct-to-dealership solutions) to drive new revenue streams and strengthen their market position. Kaisa’s systems collect data from multiple touchpoints, and they’re building the infrastructure to manage and make sense of it at scale.About the RoleNow they’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to take ownership of their data platform, lead the design of scalable data pipelines, and drive the evolution of their data architecture. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and Business teams to transform raw data into actionable insights that power their products and operations.This is a pivotal role – their data infrastructure isn’t just powering dashboards and reports; it’s foundational to the next generation of AI-driven capabilities we’re building. With intelligent agents and automation on the horizon, high-quality, well-structured data is central to our product strategy and customer experience.You’ll also play a key role in shaping Kaisa’s overall data strategy, ensuring their platform not only meets today’s needs but also scales with future demands. From architecting robust pipelines to mentoring team members, this is a high-impact position with significant room for influence.Who You AreYou’re a curious, hands-on data engineer with strong technical chops and a natural drive to lead. You enjoy solving messy problems with clean systems, and you care deeply about data quality, clarity, and performance. You’re confident in technical conversations, open to feedback, and motivated by working with smart, kind teammates.To succeed in this role, you should have:
- Solid experience designing and building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and AWS services
- Hands-on experience with some or all of: Spark, AWS EMR, Redshift, Glue, MySQL
- Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and governance
- Experience leading data architecture work and evolving infrastructure based on business needs and have the ability to translate business strategy into technical roadmaps
- Strong understanding of data security, privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR), and compliance best practices to safeguard sensitive information
- Ability to define and drive data quality frameworks, including automated testing and validation processes
- Experience with real-time or streaming data processing technologies (Kafka, Kinesis, or similar)
