You will be part of an informal yet highly professional environment that values mutual trust, respect, responsibility, and good manners.Succes starts with a teamYou will join the Data & Analytics domain, specifically the Data Ingestion team, where we are tasked with the crucial role of managing the ETL/ELT processes for migrating data to our Azure platform following Medallion Architecture. Our mission is to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility across the organization, enabling data-driven decision-making and innovation.Join us and be a part of a team that is driving innovation and excellence in data management and analytics.Your RoleAs a Senior Data Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our data migration efforts, working with a diverse range of technologies including MS Azure Cloud platform, Synapse, PySpark, SQL, Purview, and Power BI. You will work closely with our Product teams, Technical Products Owners, architects, data scientists, DevOps engineers and various departments including IT and business units to ensure data integrity and accessibility.Your main responsibilities:

• Manage ETL jobs to process data efficiently using batch and stream processing.
• Collaborate with the Domain Architect to enhance platform solutions and lead technical improvements.
• Represent the team in meetings with business stakeholders, explaining our setup and capabilities.
• Work with project teams to design and implement scalable cloud data solutions.
• Lead the development and maintenance of the Data Platform in MS Azure.
• Research and innovate data solutions to address new challenges.
• Automate and optimize processes while improving internal frameworks and best practices.
• Shape the future of MS Azure and cloud technologies for the Data Engineering team.
• Monitor and enhance platform performance proactively.
• Keep various teams informed on deployments, issues, and solutions.

Your workplace will be at our headquarters in Randers but expect approx. 10-20 travel days as some projects require on-site presence.We are looking for a candidate with

• Min 5 years of practical and hands on experience in data engineering using the Microsoft Azure stack – knowledge of Medallion Architecture is a must.
• Experience in data modelling (multidimensional data models)
• Knowledge of building ETL processes
• Practical experience with Data Cleansing, Data Governance and Great Expectations is a strong asset
• Knowledge of MS Purview and data cataloging processes is an asset
• Advanced knowledge of SQL programming
• Experience with Apache Spark
• Ability to break down complex technical work into smaller manageable parts
• Problem solving mindset with experience in writing clean and effective code, utilizing version control, and testing efficiently.
• Familiarity and experience in implementing Great Expectations data quality framework
• Great communication skills in English with the ability to present complex ideas to a non-technical audience

We require for you to hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Software Development. Experience with data analytics, data science, or artificial intelligence is considered a plus. Proficiency in Python, Apache Airflow, and Git is essential. Additionally, certifications such as MS Azure Data Engineering are valuable qualifications for this role.Appetite for more?
