As a Senior Data Protection Specialist in the Nordic Data Protection Team, reporting to the Nordic Data Protection Officer, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Ballerup, Denmark. Together, we work on advising on and monitoring data protection compliance across Nexi’s Nordic region.About Your Future Role
In this position, you will:

• Provide data protection compliance advice to the business across the Nordics.
• Be the primary data protection compliance contact for the privacy champions appointed in selected parts of the business unit, Issuing Solutions.
• Provide training to and act as a sparring partner for the appointed privacy champions and key stakeholders in Issuing Solutions.
• Support the business with privacy by design, data mapping, risk assessments, data protection impact assessments, and other types of data protection compliance tasks.
• Manage personal data breaches in collaboration with the business and the security incident response team, including supporting the business with notification to customers, authorities, or data subjects as necessary.
• Supporting the business with data protection-related inquiries from customers, audits and similar.

• Legal background (cand.jur., cand.merc.jur. or equivalent)
• 5+ years’ experience working with data protection compliance, preferably with a mix of in-house counsel and at a law firm
• Professionally proficient in spoken and written English
• Keen to work in an international and culturally diverse environment
• Good stakeholder management skills
• Team player
• Organized and analytical

Bonus Skills:

• Preferably have experience with working in banking, payment technology companies or other financial institutions
• CIPM, CIPP/E certifications or similar
• Speak and write Danish at a professional level
