The Senior Director P&C Corporate Functions will drive the people strategy for all corporate functions (e.g. Finance, Legal, Business Development, Compliance, et al.) across a diverse, multi-location, and rapidly evolving global life sciences organization. The person acts as a trusted strategic partner to senior leaders, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and inclusion while aligning people practices with business goals.Key Responsibilities:1. Strategic Leadership & Partnership:
- Partner with senior leadership across Corporate Functions (including Finance, Legal, People & Culture as well as Head Office et al.) to align talent strategy with business objectives.
- Advise and influence senior leaders on key people-related decisions, ensuring alignment with the company’s mission, values, and goals.
- Drive the People & Culture agenda to enhance organizational effectiveness, leadership development, talent management, and employee engagement across global corporate teams.
- Work closely with HR Partners of Business Divisions to ensure Corporate Functions P&C aspects (e.g. people, culture, performance) is aligned to and supportive of the business and its objectives.
2. Global Workforce Planning & Organizational Design:
- Lead organizational design and workforce planning initiatives to ensure the corporate functions are structured for success and scalability, considering global operations and market needs.
- Anticipate future business and workforce needs and proactively develop strategies to address talent gaps and ensure high-performing teams.
3. Talent Management & Development:
- Champion a high-performance culture through the development and execution of talent management impact measures, including leadership development, succession planning, and career progression pathways.
- Ensure a robust pipeline of future leaders for corporate functions by implementing talent identification and development strategies.
4. Employee Engagement, Culture & DE&I:
- Foster an inclusive, diverse, and positive culture across corporate functions that mirrors the broader organizational values.
- Champion the company’s mission, values, and purpose by embedding these principles within People & Culture initiatives across all global corporate functions.
- Develop and implement strategies that enhances the Arcera DE&I footprint for it to be a true value creation measure.
5. Change Management & Organizational Transformation:
- Lead and support change management initiatives to ensure seamless transitions during periods of growth, restructuring, and transformation.
- Support senior leaders in effectively managing change, ensuring clear communication, employee buy-in, and successful implementation.
6. Data-Driven Insights & Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of people strategies, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to drive decision-making.
- Regularly report on key people metrics (employee engagement, turnover, talent development, etc.) to senior leadership.
Key Skills:
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute “People & Culture” strategies for the corporate functions aligned with business objectives, foresee challenges, and adapt plans accordingly.
- Change Management: Proficiency in leading organizational changes, including mergers and acquisitions, by effectively managing transitions, fostering cultural integration, and ensuring employee engagement.
- Business Acumen: Understanding of the pharmaceutical industry landscape, regulatory requirements, and market trends to tailor People & Culture value creation measures that drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
- Leadership: Leading the People & Culture function for corporate functions by influencing and working through others in a way that is in line with our Arcera Values and exemplifies a positive leadership mind-set that makes others grow daily.
- Operational Excellence: Being operationally savvy to support strategic execution plans by also being able to deal with “People & Culture” tactics.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of successful experiences in People & Culture, with at least 5 years in leadership roles, preferably in the life sciences industry.
- Proven track record of successfully working in multinational corporations, with experience in acquisitions.
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen with the ability to align People & Culture strategies for corporate functions with organizational goals.
- In-depth knowledge of best-in class practices related to talent management, change management and culture stewardships.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills as well as the ability to act also in a “hands-on”-manner.
- Fluency in English, Arabic is a nice to have.
- Ability to navigate complex organizational dynamics and work effectively with cross-functional teams.
