We are looking for an experienced EHS Advisor to join a reputable contractor in South Dublin, a leading Irish construction company is a well-established and highly regarded main contractor with a history of delivering large-scale, complex building projects across Ireland and the UK. Their portfolio spans a wide range of sectors, including residential, commercial, healthcare, data centers, educational facilities, and infrastructure projects. - Develop and oversee site-specific Health & Safety plans, ensuring effective implementation and continuous monitoring.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, addressing non-compliance with corrective actions.
- Organize and lead regular safety meetings to enhance communication and reinforce safety culture on-site.
- Deliver ongoing Health & Safety training for staff and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with best practices and legal requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive reporting and investigation of any incidents, near misses, or accidents, and implement appropriate preventative measures.
- Work closely with site management to ensure equipment safety and operational standards are consistently met.
- Maintain accurate documentation for safety inspections, audits, and compliance checks.
- Ensure adherence to Health & Safety legislation, company policies, and guidelines from the Health & Safety Authority (HSA).
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree or diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or a relevant discipline, recognized by the HSA.
- Prior experience in a Health & Safety role within the construction industry, ideally on residential projects with a primary contractor.
- Thorough knowledge of Irish Health & Safety regulations and industry standards.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership abilities.
- Capacity to oversee multiple sites and effectively manage responsibilities in a dynamic and evolving environment.
- Full, clean driving license and access to personal transport.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Eligibility to work within Europe is essential.
