Job Summary IFF has completed milestones to justify commercialization of glucan polymer into a Manufacturing Joint Venture (MJV) structure. The project is coming to Gate-2 in November to be followed immediately with Front-End-Loading-3 (FEL-3) activities. This first-of-a-kind, 19 kton manufacturing facility will be co-located at IFF Kotka and will leverage site utilities and other infrastructure where possible. Together, we will #DoMoreGood for people and planet.We are looking for a Regional Process Engineer based in Kantvik, Finland to support Contract Manufacturing (CM) partners to further derivatize product for customer use.As part of our Manufacturing Technology team, you have overall accountability for the technical performance and variable cost at CM locations. You will:Become an expert in this new-to-the-world process technology.To support the commercialization of products from this new-to-the-world technologyAssists in identification, technical assessment (including trials) and startup of new CM’s.Be technical lead for the transfer of IFF Technology and CM support for establishment of Standard Operating Procedures.Identifies, collects and routinely monitors key process parameters/data.Oversee and approve implementation of process and product changes.Drives continuous improvement Initiatives in both yield and uptime.Support capital project activities at CM locationsParticipates in product specification reviews as directed by Quality Assurance team.Assists in determining root cause of quality incidents and implementation of preventive action planWork at the interphase of Process R&D and CMs to proactively address operational technology risks during design and execution.Collaborate across MT, Process R&D and OperationsYour Qualifications:Master/Bachelor of Science, Engineering discipline required (Chemical or Biochemical preferred)Fluent Finnish and English language skills5 – 15 years of experience in Manufacturing in multiple process industries (Chemical – Biotechnology – Food)Prior experience in commercial-scale polysaccharide chemistry (carboxy methylation, ethoxylation, acetylation) is highly desirable.Demonstration of influential leadership to lead & mentor others.Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.Behaviors Required for this Role:
