This is a great opportunity that will allow you to develop your already strong leadership, managerial and strategic capabilities. The role will take on the leadership of four teams of developers responsible for the delivery of microservices to support the development of the Kindred Sports Platform. The role will be responsible for working with the existing team leads setting the development methodologies and ensuring the development teams deliver and perform to their maximum potential. This role will work closely with key stakeholders in the Australian and European business and key delivery teams based in our Stockholm, London and Gibraltar offices.This will present some interesting and complex challenges and requires a dedicated, motivated individual to help us move forward as a business.   • Supporting engineering teams with diverse skill sets and expertise.
  • Driving positive change and creating innovative team cultures.
  • Coaching & mentoring our engineers to reach their full potential.
  • Providing thought leadership and guidance on scalability & performance, security, monitoring & alerting, analytics, documentation, and quality.
  • Working with business stakeholders, product owners, and the architecture practice to deliver class-leading betting products.

Your experience

  • Experience in the gambling industry is essential.
  • You have several years of experience in leadership and people management.
  • You have a strong personal drive and can navigate complex scenarios without having all the answers.
  • Be the one who ensures that all teams in your area live up to our expectations and deliver quality work, in close collaboration with Product Engineering Leads.
  • A strong development background, with proficiency in one or more contemporary programming languages outside of JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript client and server-side ecosystems is essential.
  • Experience working with any of the following: micro-frontends, BFF patterns, React, Kafka, Postgres, Couchbase, ElasticSearch, Kubernetes, Docker and Helm.
  • Experience with automated testing, including integration and performance testing.
  • Experience with event-driven architecture and microservices is essential.
  • Track record of developing software that is secure, performant, and scalable.
  • Passion in everything you put your hands to.
