Company DescriptionJob DescriptionAs a Senior Engineering Manager at SIXT you will own the end‑to‑end success of the machine‑learning products that set our prices and optimize our global fleet. You’ll lead a 10–15‑person squad of Data Scientists and Machine‑Learning Engineers, shape our technical roadmap, and cultivate the next generation of engineering leaders. If you thrive at the intersection of data science, product, and people leadership—join us and make an impact at worldwide scale!YOUR ROLE AT SIXTYou will lead with vision, provide technical and people leadership for our Pricing & Fleet Optimization product line, ensuring we ship scalable, high‑performance solutionsYou will own the architecture, design serverless and microservice pipelines that handle millions of pricing requests per day, backed by ML and linear‑programming modelsYou will grow great people, line‑manage 10–15 Data Scientists and MLEs; create growth plans and mentor future Engineering Managers, transitioning them to leadership rolesYou will shape the roadmap, translate commercial goals into measurable ML milestones; quantify opportunity cost, run A/B tests, and unlock incremental margin across business unitsYou will drive engineering excellence, champion code quality, CI/CD, observability, and a strong incident‑response cultureYou will influence at scale, communicate complex technical trade‑offs in clear, non‑technical language and secure buy‑in from executive stakeholdersYOUR SKILLS MATTEREnterprise Innovation: You have 10+ years building and shipping AI/ML products for large enterprises—ideally in pricing, revenue‑management, or supply‑chain optimizationLeadership Excellence: You have 5+ years of engineering‑management experience, including mentoring ICs and emerging leadersTechnical Depth:You have deep expertise in machine learning, linear programming, and optimization techniquesEngineering Mastery: You have hands‑on mastery of Python (NumPy, Pandas/Polars, Dask, TensorFlow/Keras/PyTorch); and proven experience with serverless architectures (e.g. AWS Lambda, GCP Cloud Functions), microservices, and event‑driven systems (e.g. Kafka, Pub/Sub)Agile Mindset: You are comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments with evolving requirements. Outstanding written and verbal communication and storytelling skillsEducation: You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related field; PhD a plusNice to Have: Prior work on dynamic fleet dispatching or price optimization. Familiarity with A/B experimentation and causal inference. Contributions to open‑source ML or infrastructure projectsWHAT WE OFFER
