Come and make your mark.Let’s introduce ourselvesThe mission for Developer Experience is to provide a developer platform with few, meaningful, opinionated choices, that makes it easy for developers to own their products end-to-end.As a Senior Engineering manager in Developer Experience you will lead teams in their work to design, develop, and maintain robust end-to-end platform capabilities that enable feature teams across the organisation to deliver value.The team is distributed with colleagues in Stockholm, Gothenburg and our India Tech Hub. This position can either be based in Stockholm or Gothenburg.What you’ll doRole Description:As a Senior Engineering Manager for Developer Experience, you provide senior technical leadership in designing, building and maintaining the central Volvo Cars Developer platform including infrastructure, tools and frameworks that makeup our platform ecosystem.You will be responsible for leading multiple teams working on the internal developer platform including backstage, CICD in Github, container solutions, secrets & vulnerability management and observability. By managing people, technology, delivery and business impact you will be instrumental in our mission to transform our infrastructure into an opinionated ecosystem provided through an internal developer platform.We are about two years into building this platform. Key priorities for this role are to take a leading role in setting our technical direction and help identify white spots on the map next in line for transformation.Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow a team of hardworking Engineering Managers and engineers through hiring, mentoring, inspiring and feedback. You will have Engineering Managers and Staff Engineers as your direct reports.
• Ensure through user feedback and a tight collaboration with our Product Manager team that our platform capabilities are prioritized, designed and built to solve our user’s problems
• Advocate and advance modern, agile platform engineering practices
• Help ensure the solutions are scalable, sustainable, architecturally sound, and technical debt is both incurred consciously and repaid in a reasonable time
• Be an active member of the Developer Experience leadership team and collaborate with other leaders across the organization

You are comfortable in leading through ambiguity and empower your team to act and learn in uncertain and complex environments. You have a track record of building diverse and motivated teams.Furthermore, you are making sure the mission, strategy and goals are clear and are delegating authority and responsibility to your team members, giving them the autonomy and flexibility to make decisions and take actions.To be successful in this role we believe you have:

• Several years of experience in the platform (or related) engineering space, both as an individual contributor and as a leader and preferably as a leader of leaders.
• You have experience of large scale transformation initiatives and knows what a modern infrastructure tech stack looks like.
• Have strong people management experience, and a proven track record of creating an environment for motivated teams.
