What we expect from you:
- Create scalable, future-proof software architectures, and realistic plans for developing them across the whole Virta Platform
- Take a hands-on approach to software development, turning your ideas into impactful solutions.
- Collaborate closely with development teams and business stakeholders to brainstorm and design innovative software solutions.
- Confidently coach and mentor developers, guiding them through the implementation of your plans. You are comfortable creating technical documentation and contributing to internal tech blog posts.
- Demonstrate excellent collaboration skills by treating everyone with respect, supporting your colleagues’ growth, and fostering a positive team environment. You are proactive in asking challenging questions and providing clear, actionable guidance.
- Exhibit exceptional persistence and determination, understanding that developing elegant solutions to complex problems requires both patience and resilience.
- Prioritize building high-quality, maintainable, and scalable solutions, recognizing their importance for long-term success.
To give perspective to what you’ll start working with (or will be decommissioning), our current technology stack includes:
- NodeJS microservices with Typescript, a PHP 8 Laravel 8 Monolith, and PHP legacy system with JQuery UI
- React based web UI’s, Native Apps using Kotlin and Swift
- MySQL and PostgreSQL databases, Redis, RabbitMQ, and Kafka, all running on AWS
- Microservice deployment on top of Kubernetes
- Bamboo, Bitrise and Drone, Bitbucket Pipelines for CI/CD
